Well it is my first day in South Africa. I decided to take it easy and sit by the pool for most of the day. I am now a lovely shade of red but happy and rested from the journey here. Tomorrow I fly to Durban where I start a fantastic tour of the East Coast. The only sight seeing I did was looking at big birds in the sky... Every 15 minutes I found myself shaded from the sun for a few seconds.
Here's what I have learned today. I understand why "airport" is the first word in the name of my hotel.
I can't help but wonder what the front desk of my hotel would say if I asked to fly a kite outside.... There is no sign saying I can't.... Their reaction would be a great picture don't you think?
