Well I must part with South Africa in the morning. I am in love with this country. The beaches are fantastic and the people are absolutely lovely. For anyone is travelling the east coast, I highly recommend Haga Haga. During my stay there, I woke to the sound of the waves and was able to spot some whales directly from my cottage. It is a little remote but the breath-taking scenery through the mountains and seeing various local communities along the way is worth the drive. I had the opportunity to stop at a local pub (located on a farm). As I walked-in, a sheep followed me and a cat greeted me. The owner of the pub explained that the sheep tends to sneak-in once in a while and drink people's beer when they are not looking. I managed to escort him out of the pub, but not without him cursing me loudly in sheep language and pouting at the door. Looking back on my week, what an adventure! I have been able to pet a cheetah and sit on an ostrich. I observed elephants, lions and antelopes in their natural environment and witnessed two antelopes fighting for the title of alpha male. I had my first braille (their version of a BBQ) and had a turkey nesting over an egg outside my cabin door for a night. I found the adventure I was looking for. Thank you South Africa!
Tomorrow, my adventure continues in Tanzania and Kenya.
